About Katie

 

In 2008 Katie qualified as a primary school teacher.  She then taught in one of the most prestigious prep schools in London for ten years.  While there the school was Ofsted inspected twice, which included observing Katie’s lessons, and the school was deemed ‘Outstanding’ both times.

 

Katie has successfully tutored for a number of years most notably helping children pass their 11+ school entrance exam into schools such as St Paul’s Junior School.  In 2014, after the birth of her first son, Katie brought her teaching experience and knowledge together to create Katie’s Classroom Ltd with the aim of providing affordable online tutoring to all primary school children.

 

Katie has filmed hundreds of bitesize maths and phonics videos to help explain the most important methods and terminology in the National Curriculum with a passion to help parents help their children.  In 2016, after the birth of her second son, Katie started creating her wide range of best-selling revision and mental health cards. 

 

Two more children later(!), Katie’s Classroom is now a successful six-figure company with over 30,000 happy customers offering both online tutoring services and a wide range of revision and mental health cards.  Katie being a mother of four, who’s eldest son is dyslexic and autistic, understands what it is like to be a parent, who worries about her children but wants the very best for them.
